A number of items came up for discussion at this weeks meeting, including the breathometers, Interplast raflle, Rotary Park, the Casterton Cup, bowel scan kits, RYSF, Glenelg Shire Grant and general business items.

Casterton Cup, Sunday 22nd May - In previous years, a marquee has been purchased by Rotary. Due to possible low attendance numbers this year, it was decided that we would not purchase a marquee, but if you wanted to attend, the first people there would reserve a spot on the grass and everyone would come and go at their leisure.

Bowel Scan Kits - Wally has organized delivery of these kits. Darren to deliver Casterton and Balmoral and Wally to deliver Merino and Coleraine.

Rotary Youth Science Forum - Rory has suggested a candidate for next year. Wally to follow up on this.

Interplast - 2 raffle books were given to Darren at the combined dinner at Strathdownie. They were passed around during the meeting but there are still a number of tickets to be sold. Please give generously as they will be available this week and next at Rotary before Darren has to return them to Alan Richardson.

Service Projects - Roger reports that he was contacted by Carly Garrone from the Glenelg Shire regarding our grant application for MAGIC gardens. He is delighted to report that we were successful in obtaining the $4000 grant we applied for. Well done to Roger for all of your effort with this!!

Breathometers - Kaye reports that David Bothe collected the breathometer from the Golf Club. Further discussion is needed at a meeting to work out pro's and con's and whether they are worthwhile us keeping them or returning them to TAC.

Rotary Park - Don thanked Sheryl-Lee and Darren for their maintenance of Rotary park recently.
                  - A mesh cage needs to be built to safely house the gas bottle for the bbq in the park. Greg and Roger to get onto this.

General - Robbie Greene made the suggestion that it used to be practice that a bottle of port was raffled during the winter months at each Rotary meeting. Robbie put it to the club that this practice be reinstated. It was put to the vote and a resounding YES was the result. It was decided that president Darren purchase the first bottle to raffle and it is to commence next meeting. Good luck to all that participate.
