Meeting #3438

Casterton Croquet Club

President Darren welcomed and made a toast to the Casterton Croquet Club and its members for hosting us tonight. Those present included, Yvonne, Sandra, Narelle, Agnes, Sue and Dallas.

The Croquet ladies thanked Casterton Rotary for their monetary contribution toward the table and chairs, that came in very handy tonight.

Darren attended the Group 1 meeting and will give a more detailed account at next meeting.

Rory Spiers attended the National Youth Science forum in January and loved it. He will join us at a future meeting to give us a rundown of all that occurred there.

It was great to see Robbie and Jean back with us.

A number of hotly contested games of croquet followed. From the amount of laughter heard, everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. Many thanks to the Croquet ladies for giving up their time to teach us some of the finer points of croquet.

Wednesday 2nd March - Combined dinner with Hamilton Nth Rotary Club @ Railway Lake in Coleraine. 6pm start. More info to follow next week.

17th March - Lions and Rotary combined dinner at Edgarley. 6:30 for 7pm start.

18-20th March - District Conference in Geelong. Sue and Don Kilsby and Wally Walsh to attend.

21st March - Probus dinner. Darren and Barb are attending

31st March- Farewell dinner for Doug & Betty Coulter, who are moving to Mt Gambier to enjoy their retirement.

9-10th April - PETS in Ballarat for Roger.

12th April - Combined dinner at Strathdownie.

Sunday 10th April - Millicent 4WD day. Meet at the Milllicent lake (Lake McIntyre) for a bbq lunch at 12 noon. 4WD not required and seats with others are available. Numbers to Darren please for catering purposes.
