Strategic Plans
Each week for the next 5 weeks, we will break down and discuss, as a group, each point put forward by each of our groups (Service, Youth, Foundation, Membership, Public Relations). Tonight it was the Service committee’s turn.
  • Rotary Rest Point – A roster and a checklist of duties to be undertaken will be drawn up and presented to members next week.
  • Art Show – After brief discussion with Sharon and Karen, it is understood that we would like a checklist of required items for next years show. What did we want/need for next year? Can the show be run more efficiently? A meeting with Sharon and Karen to be organised to discuss this.
  • Lions/Rotary joint project /venture – This idea was tabled to boost our relationship with the Casterton Lions Club. Many ideas for projects were tabled, including the Ess Lagoon pathway project and social events such as BBQs etc. More to follow on this
  • MAGIC –
    • Plans are well and truly underway with all gardens looking amazing
    • Permit for use of the Railway precinct granted.
    • Letterdrop for Jackson St will be done shortly.
    • There will be plants for sale in Vicki’s garden (her own plants)
    • Raffle – Rotary will organise the raffle. Discussion of suitable items and a wheelbarrow of gardening items was voted for by all members. Rotary Club to purchase the wheelbarrow and members have been asked to donate items to fill it.
    • Old planter car – There was plenty of discussion on this. It is unknown if the council permit will allow for this to be a permanent item or if it must be removed after the permit ends. Roger to follow this up with Karen Stephens asap.
