Sue and Chis attended the community meeting about the "Paint the Town REaD" project that has been happening throughout the year. Both were astounded by the literacy results from Casterton. Sue has elected to go on the committee. One of the organisers of the night, Betty will be asked to be a guest speaker at one of our upcoming meetings as literacy rates of our young people in Casterton is something that is close to many of our hearts.

 

Red Cross Connect held their 2 yearly conference at the Casterton Memorial Hospital. Many topics were covered by guest speakers including students from the Casterton Secondary College, whom I am told by those who attended spoke very well.

 

Robbie, Jean and Peter Gorman represented Casterton Rotary Club at the funeral of past president Brian Denton, who sadly passed away last week. A card has been sent to his family on behalf of the Club.
